Copenhagen Wolves were last night crowned winners of NetPartyFyn #13 by beating Anexis 16-7 on de_nuke_ve in the grand final.
The Danish LAN event started Friday in Fredericia Messe C, in the same halls hosting SLAP LIVE #26 next month. Housing 1,200 participants, the event featured a CS:GO tournament with a 15,000 DKK prize purse or roughly €2,011.
A total of 33 teams made the way to Fredericia, including Anexis and Copenhagen Wolves, who surely were the two favorites to top the event. Scheduled to start Friday evening, the organizers were forced to push the tournament start to Saturday morning as the event suffered from power cuts.
Playing a double-elimination bracket, the favorites met each other the first time in the upper-bracket final, a match Copenhagen Wolves went on to win after a three map series.
This sent Anexis, still without Nichlas "Nille" Busk who is on a student trip with his schoo, to the lower-bracket. With the sixth member Frederik "zn0pe" Larsen Anexis made way to the grand final, beating Gamehoppers 19-15 on de_inferno_se in the consolidation final.
The grand final started on de_nuke_se with Wolves on the CT side. Anexis racked up a great amount of T rounds, yet with Wolves leading 9-6 at halftime. Wolves won the pistol round in the second half and never really gave Anexis a chance, who only managed to take one round off them, before the 16-7 victory for Copenhagen Wolves was a fact.
With the victory Copenhagen Wolves scored a 9,000 DKK cheque (€1,206) and hardware from SteelSeries. The final standings for NetPartyFyn #13 are as follows:
1.
Copenhagen Wolves - 9,000 DKK (€1,206) + hardware
2.Anexis - 4,000 DKK (€536) + hardware
3.Gamehoppers - 2,000 DKK (€268) + hardware
4.Ildal Lions
